What is The Great Orchestra of Christmas Charity and why is it so unique?

The Great Orchestra of Christmas Charity (WOŚP) is the biggest, non-governmental, non-profit, charity organization in Poland raising funds for the healthcare system in Poland. It aims to support health care in Poland by purchasing medical equipment for Polish hospitals and clinics and by running medical and educational programs.

Every year, on the last Sunday of January, the Great Orchestra of Christmas Charity plays to collect funds to purchase equipment for children’s hospital wards.

For more than 30 years people in Poland with completely different views gathered together once a year and collected money for hospitals, the elderly, and children. Everywhere you see positive and joyful events, and people hoping we manage to break another record!

What is unique is that it is a non-governmental, private initiative transmitted over TV and the internet in which almost all people in Poland participate.

This year the aim is to fight sepsis and raise funds to buy equipment that will serve all patients in need, regardless of their age. The great countdown to the 31st Grand Finale has entered its final stage!

We are so happy that Enxoo one more time supported this amazing initiative. There are many things that make us happy, but helping is at the top of that list 😊

This year there was no shortage of support from our employees as well. During the 31st Finale of the Great Orchestra of Christmas Charity, there was a run through the streets of Warsaw and a virtual run. Tens of thousands of people took part in the run, including 30 of our employees!  Together we overcame 420 kilometers.

In addition, several employees worked as volunteers and collected money for cans on the streets of Polish cities.

And at the very end of the final day, we were able to see our bravely supportive Solution Architect perform a concert with his band on the main Warsaw stage! 

We are happy to have been able to support this initiative in many different ways this year.

By participating in the run and volunteering at the headquarters, Enxoo not only helped to raise funds for the cause, but also demonstrated its commitment to giving back to the community and supporting a noble cause.  There are moments when the words #givingback have a really special meaning. Helping others is part of DNA of Enxoo.
